We’re proud to count a number of people and organizations in the health care sector among our clients, and there’s no shortage of conversation about the rapidly changing world of health care these days. This month’s issue of HBR injects a booster shot of information into the discussion. In addition to some facts and figures with nifty info graphics, two authors take examine the intersection of our work and the medical field. In “Turning Doctors into Leaders,” author Thomas H. Lee takes a fresh look at the role of teams in medicine and the implications for how executives manage and how physicians practice. A few pages later, Richard M. J. Bohmer’s “Fixing Health Care on the Front Lines” proposes a slate of guidelines for effective organizational design of hospitals, clinics and physician practices. It’s good stuff. (The rest of the issue isn’t bad, either.)
