We have a client whose goal for 2011 is to become "best in class" by creating the kind of workplace no employee wants to leave . . . and getting the business results to match. We often help clients with this kind of goal, but it's always a good idea to check the latest research. One resource I use a lot is the Great Place to Work® Institute and their website www.greatplacetowork.com. The folks there have been listening to employees and evaluating employers since 1980 in order to understand what makes a workplace great. It makes sense to many people that higher profits and productivity are the result when trust is the foundation of workplace relationships, but GPTW has the proof!
